High on a rocky mountain lived a young eagle named Pip, who had never dared to fly. All his brothers and sisters soared above the clouds, but Pip stayed safely on the edge of the nest. "What if I fall? What if the sky is too big for me?" he worried every single morning. One day, a strong wind shook the mountain and a small bird fell from a nearby branch. Without thinking, Pip opened his wings and leapt off the cliff to help. For a terrifying moment he dropped like a stone — and then, suddenly, the wind lifted him up. Pip was flying! He caught the little bird gently and carried it back to safety. From that day on, Pip understood that courage means being afraid and trying anyway. He spent the rest of his days exploring the wide, free sky he had once feared.
